It's Halloween.
I'm not certain I'm really up for Halloween this year.
Some years I am;
some years I'm not.
Some Halloweens are spent handing out candy with friends and relatives;
some Halloweens are spent with the lights out and the doors locked,
just keeping myself company.
Sometimes I'm the witch; sometimes I'm the ghost.
I'm not certain that makes Halloween
any different than every other day.
